Margo joined John Hughes, Hibs FC manager to celebrate the achievements of many of the young athletes who attend Telford Colleges’ highly successful Centre for Excellence in Sport. Margo heard first hand about the excellent results many of the students had achieved over the past year, which included every young player attending the Hibs/Teleford training academy being offered a contract with the Easter Road club.

Forgive me if I don’t go into raptures about the TV “debate” staged by ITV. For weeks the promotion teams from TV channels showing the “Leaders’” debates have encouraged their audiences to be sure to tune into what will be a historic change in our democracy. By implication, the message was that TV has taken up the tattered old banner of British democracy that useless, self serving politicians had trampled….

The most unexpected development in the election campaign, so far, is the inescapable conclusion that there are quite distinct campaigns being waged on either side of the border.
