Margo attended the HSS conference as guest speaker. She spoke to the Group about her End Of Life Choices (Scotland) Bill and was very encouraged by the reception to her proposals.

Pupils and staff from Leith Academy visited parliament on Wednesday to brief MSPs on their forthcoming expedition to Honduras in June 2010. Pupils will be working with academics from Universities around the world to collect data and improve their knowledge of threatened habitats and species.
Margo and other MSPs signed Saltires which the pupils will take with them on their expedition.
Margo opened the recent Scotland Patient Association conference held in Edinburgh.
The conference focussed on patient perceptions of the NHS and featured several contributions throughout the day from patients and their families about their personal experiences of the NHS.
Margo, along with Sister Rita who runs the St. Margaret of Scotland Hospice in Clydebank are co-Patron’s of the Association.

Margo, has signed up to ‘Think Positive’, a campaign run by NUS Scotland to tackle mental health issues among students in Scotland.
It is estimated that over 17000 students in the Lothians will suffer from mental ill health at some point in their lives. Across Scotland it is estimated that up to 140,000 students currently studying at college and university will experience mental health problems.
Think Positive is a project run by the National Union of Students in Scotland to tackle the stigma of mental ill health, raise awareness of this issue among students, college and university staff and the general public.
